Do You Charge VAT or Have a VAT ID?

We are a U.S.-based company and do not have a VAT registration number. Because we are not established in the EU, we do not collect or charge VAT on purchases.

What does this mean for you?

  • We cannot provide a VAT ID because we are not VAT-registered.

  • No VAT is charged on our invoices.

  • If you’re located in the EU or UK and are required to self-account for VAT under reverse charge rules, you should follow your local tax authority’s guidance on how to do so.

Adding Notes to Your Records

If your accounting or tax process requires you to include a VAT ID on file or mark the transaction as reverse charge, we recommend adding a manual note to your records such as:

“Reverse charge: Customer to account for VAT. Supplier is a U.S. entity not registered for VAT.”

This statement is commonly accepted by tax authorities in reverse charge scenarios.
